THE Kesh festival has come up trumps, as this week, Limerick country star, Jimmy Buckley will head up a Saturday night to remember in the big marquee.

Jimmy recently released a 12-track album, ‘Ramblin’ Man’, and will be supported on the night by Karl Kirkpatrick, from Derrygonnelly.

Robert Anderson, festival chairman, noted that the venue can hold over 500 people – and he is expecting a big crowd.

“Jimmy is the king of Country and has a huge following of people from all over. He is a fantastic singer and performer,” explained Robert.

“People can expect lots of dancing and a great atmosphere.”

Robert also noted that it mightn’t be just locals at the event, with busloads expecting to descend from further afield.

“We are expecting a massive crowd. The festival mobile is ringing non-stop looking for more info on this great night – buses and parties have also booked in.

“If you haven’t tasted the country scene yet – give it a go.

“It’s an amazing experience and with the marquee, it’s an added bonus.”

Doors open at the big marquee on Station Road, Kesh, at 9pm on Saturday August 10. Support act is Karl Kirkpatrick.
