Herald Sports Personality Awards to honour stars who excelled over the past year
It is once again time to recognise the achievements of Fermanagh’s sporting community. The Fermanagh Herald is proud to team up with Belleek Living to present the Fermanagh Herald Sports Awards. The Herald will honour the sporting stars, clubs and communities who despite everything excelled in 2020.
This year is a little different, unfortunately we won’t be enjoying our usual black tie-gala event at the Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel however we will still endeavour to honour the sportsmen and women from Fermanagh who have achieved on the local, national and world stage.
Once again Belleek have sponsored this year’s awards, at a time when our local businesses face their own challenges, we appreciate their continued support all the more.
Ryan McManus, Retail Operations Manager, Belleek said,
‘‘Belleek is once again very proud sponsors of the Fermanagh Herald Sports Awards, recognising these individuals provides a visible acknowledgement of their importance within our community and the contributions they have made to sport.
‘‘These athletes have participated and excelled in various fields of athleticism, and through dedication, skill and hard work have been recognised for their achievements. We also extend our recognition and thanks to those who have gone above and beyond to help their communities whether in service to sport or participation.’’

Ray Sanderson, Assistant Editor, Fermanagh Herald said,
“This is always a special occasion for the Fermanagh Herald, we enjoy taking the time to celebrate the successes of our athletes and teams. Whilst our 2020 awards take on a slightly different form, we at the Fermanagh Herald have led the way in recognising sporting talent and achievements in our county for 24 years and are proud to continue to do so despite Covid restrictions.” “Our entrants cover a wide range of sports, but all have excelled in the past 12 months. Whether it is a team which achieved the highest honour or an individual who has reached new heights or a club who contributed beyond measure to their local community at a time when they were needed most, they are all worthy winners,” he said. “We are so lucky to be working hand in hand with Belleek Living for the awards. As our main sponsors they have shown great loyalty to the Fermanagh Herald over the years and we are honoured to have them on board again this year.”
