It’s that time of year again, Festival time is upon us. Its’ time for the Maid of Lough Erne Kesh Festival 2016!
The festival will be kick started into action on Saturday 6th August in the Marquee as we host the Big Fat Kesh Wedding! This night is sure to entertain with a few surprises in store! Drinks Reception, four course meal and dance only £25. Tickets and tables are selling fast for this event and we encourage people to book early to avoid disappointment. The mock wedding is for a worthy cause ‘Angel Wishes NI’! This is run by one lady who provides children who are fighting cancer throughout Northern Ireland with special treats.
The children face gruelling chemotherapy resulting in a low immune system therefore the children can’t risk everyday activities like going to school, seeing their friends or wee trips to the cinema.
Angel Wishes provide treats for the children throughout their treatment by getting cinemas, bowling alleys to open solely for them etc
Book your seat or table for the wedding of the century! Txt / Call 07720420602! Limited places available

The Maid of Lough Erne 2016 will be unveiled on the night! This years prize includes £300 sponsored by Lakeland Cars NI, Special Photoshoot sponsored by Piccoli Photography, Bespoke Tiara sponsored by Finishing Touches by Carol Flack and unique Maid of Lough Erne Teddy Bear sponsored by My Teddy Magic!

A special event this year is ‘Tilly’s Rainbow Run’ on Monday 8th August 6pm! Meeting at the Community Centre, Kesh! This event is in memory of the young Tilly Walker! The organisers really encourage everyone in the village to support this.
“Even if it’s just to watch and encourage the runners,” said Robert Anderson.
“The routes are starting at the YFC Hall and finishing at Community Centre via Mantlin road. 5k is going out to Muckross and 3K is Crevenish Road! Please get out and support
this,” he added.
All funds raised for this are going to NI Childrens Lapland Trust. This is a small charity that fundraise to send children with terminal or life long illness to Lapland each Christmas!
Another very worthy cause and organised by NFFC and the Walker Family!

This year there is an exhibition on the Duke of Westminster remembered on Thursday 11th August. Photos, videos, memorabilia and lots more on display.
If you have any items we could use anything at all then please get in touch with Natalie on 07888 825985!

There is also an exciting line up for Saturday 14th August. It’s the festival’s  very first Party on the Street.
Bungee Trampolines, Big Digger Slide, The sweeper and Rodeo Bull will take centre stage on the Main Street. Then there is the Kesh Outdoor Talent Fest organised by Mayfly Inn and again the organisers encourage all local talent to get involved.  They are calling all singers, dancers or anyone with talent to take part.
This Festival is going to be action packed with something for everyone including The Tractor Run, Bubble Football, Rally Experience Simulator, outdoor Film Night, Teddy Bear Factory, Jam Pot painting, Wild West Family afternoon, Kids Sports, Cup cake decorating, BBC Radio Ulster, Rodeo and Dance, Table Quiz, Treasure Hunt, Lisa McHugh, GCS Olympics, Gun Dog Fun Test, Rod Stewart Tribute, Wrestling, Breakfast walk, Duke of Westminster High School remembered Exhibition and lots more!
