Plenty new Fermanagh faces on the election ballot

There nominations have not thrown up any great surprises, with all the main parties putting forward a similar number of candidates as 2019.

Indications from here at the count centre that Paul Bell and Adam Gannon will be eliminated in the next couple of counts.

Counting has ended at the Magherafelt count centre for the night.

“I think its important to vote because everyone has to have their say in who is running your country.”

There are five seats up for grabs in the Fermanagh South Tyrone (FST) constituency, and 16 candidates vying for your vote.

As always it looks like transfers are going to be key to determining who will be representing us at the Assembly over the next five years.

With a total of 16 candidates putting in their papers for what has the potential to be one of the most interesting elections in FST for many years.

Cllr Gannon said it had been “a real honour” to represent his local community in recent years.
