Two men accused of stealing £26K from car in Lisnaskea

TWO men are to stand trial in relation to the alleged theft of over £26,000 from a car which was smashed into while parked in Lisnaskea.
Appearing together in the dock of Dungannon Crown Court were Alexander Carlin (43) of Magaretta Crescent in Belfast and Carlo Holmes (63) of no fixed abode, but both currently remanded in custody.
They stand jointly charged with stealing £26,410 from a vehicle at Main Street, Lisnaskea on November 21 2017, as well as a mobile phone, a wallet, cheque and lodgement books.
It is further alleged the pair caused criminal damage by smashing a window in the vehicle to retrieve the cash and other items.
Carlin is further accused of driving dangerously on the M1 after the incident.
Both pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Judge Stephen Fowler QC adjourned the case until November 16, when a trial date will be fixed.
Both men were remanded in continuing custody.
