Heat is on for the bank holiday


If the weather forecast is to be believed Fermanagh is set to bask in the sunshine this bank holiday weekend!
The end of May bank holiday kicks off the summer season and it looks like sun cream will be required as temperatures are set to rise and the sun will make a weekend long appearance!
Starting from today (Wednesday) temperatures are set to increase to the late teens, with a maximum temperature of 21 degrees.
Thursday and Friday looks set to be mostly dry with some good spells of sunshine with Fermanagh becoming very warm.
Met office reports that there may be some showers on Friday but the sun will come out again for the weekend.
While calling it a heatwave may be a bit of a stretch, temperatures are set to rise to 19 and 20 degrees on Saturday, and last throughout Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday.
Donegal weather channel are reporting very warm and humid conditions with temperatures in the mid 20s in places with a risk of some thundery activity over the week.
Get the sun cream and sun glasses ready – it’s been a very long winter!
