Airport to be transformed for massive open air concert

EXCITEMENT is building for next weekend’s Harvest 2017 Country Music Festival in Enniskillen and fans have been given a further taster of what’s to come with the releae of stage times for artists and a map of the venue. 
St Angelo Airport is set to be transformed into a full festival experience with boutique camping and campervan facilities, market stalls, funfairs, full bar facilities, a food village, family friendly zones, dedicated dancing sessions and three stages of country music’s finest playing across the weekend. Fans will also have a chance to get up close and personal with songwriters at the Harvest Café.
Big name Irish artists lining out will include Cliona Hagan, Nathan and Jake Carter, Una Healy, Donna Taggart, Catherine McGrath, Lee Matthews, Niamh Lynn, Hurricane Highway and Riah Butler.
Other names from the international Country scene include Texas and Oklahoma duo Maddie & Tae, Nashville’s Dan & Shay (Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney), Logan Brill, Illinois singer Mo Pitney, Arizona singer-songwriter Courtney Marie Andrews, Texan Jarrod Dickenson, All Our Exes Live in Texas, English duo Ward Thomas; Jersey’s Frankie Davies, and actor and singer Sam Palladio.
 The event is taking place simultaneously at both Westport House in Co Mayo and Enniskillen Airport, with the 30 acts playing both venues on alternate days. 
Speaking to the Herald, Cliona Hagan said everyone is buzzing for the event: “We really have been crying out for a huge Country festival from both Irish singers and the Americans. It’s definitely about time. 
“There’s a great atmosphere and people are generally excited about it.”
Jake Carter, who recently moved to Enniskillen where his bother Nathan has been living for a number of years now, is looking forward to the Harvest Festival as much as a fan than as an artist himself. 
Hoping for sunshine, Jake said playing at St Angelo Airport would be “a unique and unforgettable experience”, adding there would be a happy Carter family in the crowd, with Nathan one of the headline acts. 
Due to the Harvest Country Festival, management at St Angelo have announced that the airport will be closed to all aircraft from Sunday 20th August at 4pm until Wednesday 30th August at 8am.
