PSNI-01-460x306

Police are on the hunt for the occupants of a van that crashed in Enniskillen last night after around seven or eight kilos of suspected cocaine was found in the abandoned vehicle.
Police discovered the crashed van on the Marble Arch Road after 9pm last night. A search of the van recovered “a substantial quantity of suspected drugs.” No one was in the van and the investigation has been passed on to detectives from the Reactive and Organised Crime Branch (ROC).
Detective Inspector Alan Pyper, from the ROC Branch, said: “The suspected drugs are being analysed but we believe this could be between seven and eight kilos of cocaine. We are delighted to have recovered this quantity of illegal drugs and our inquiries are continuing to establish a quantity and value.
“I would appeal to anyone who saw a red van in the vicinity of the Marble Arch Road between 9pm and 10 o’clock last night to contact detectives on the non-emergency number 101. People can also use the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555111 and provide information. We are delighted to have recovered these suspected drugs with the assistance of local police.”
