Country Focus: Richie Remo for Struttin’ Stars

The ‘Strive to Jive’ class, made up of Donagh and Dooneen classes, plus the Strutting Stars Line Dancers rehearse for their jive dance on Friday night at the Westville Hotel, Enniskillen

THIS week, as part of fundraising for the Struttin’ Stars linedancers sees country music’s Ritchie Remo, perform in the Westville Hotel.

Patrons are invited to ‘dance’ to Ritchie and his new five piece band, which will help support the linedancers on their trip to the World Masters Final in the Winter Gardens in Blackpool in August.

Highly regarded now as one of Ireland’s top country attractions Ritchie Remo and his band are an act currently making great strides on the live circuit.

With a host of awards firmly under his belt Ritchie said that he gets a ‘great buzz from being on the stage’.

The linedancers will be putting on a display which includes the world champions from 2013, this will be followed by a Jive demonstration of local dancers, there will also be spot prizes throughout the night for the best jivers who come to support.

Ritchie will take to the stage at 11.30 pm – 1.30 pm on Friday June 27. Admission will be £12 and there will be a raffle on the night. Tickets can be purchased from Mary Wray 07870544291 or you can pay at the door.

The previous night, Thursday, sees Johnny Brady perform in the hotel.

Johnny and his five piece band is live on stage from 10.30pm. Doors open 9pm with dancing until late.
