“Tom’s sensitive percussion perfectly complementing Fil’s exquisite vocals” (Falkirk Folk Club).

Fil gained some recognition in Ireland for her RTE TV series Songbirds some years back, and the subsequent albums of songs that she had learned as a child, songs that inspired the series, which profiled the lives and work of female singers from the early 20th century.

“It’s always good to get a chance to play at home”, said Fil who’s latest CD, Back There, which also features Tom on vocals on some songs, was released in Summer 2015.  Fil and Tom are both songwriters and will include some of their owns songs as well as many of the old favourites in their set.

They are regular performers on the UK and European folk club circuit where their mix of old and new material is always well received.

Fil, or Philomena as she would be better known around Belleek, as a teenager played regularly around Bundoran and Belleek, as well as taking part in concerts in Enniskillen where she was a pupil of Mount Lourdes.

Moving on to study music in Queens her career has taken her through working as a radio presenter for BBC as well as presenting TV shows for RTE and touring internationally while also running community choirs and adult singing workshops in Rostrevor in Co. Down where she and Tom now live.
