Conor McGregor ‘looking at’ Slieve Russell Hotel

THE Slieve Russell Hotel in Ballyconnell is expected to go on the market in the next number of weeks and it’s attracting the attention of former UFC champion Conor McGregor.

In a video which has been shared wide and far on social media, former Ultimate Fighting Championship title holder Conor McGregor said he had been ‘looking at’ the Ballyconnell hotel.

“Up Cavan. That’s real Ireland there, Cavan,” said the Dublin man in the video, which was shot in his pub ‘The Black Forge Inn’.

“What’s the hotel up there? Slieve… The Slieve… I was looking at it, I was looking at it.”

It’s not the first time that ‘Notorious’ McGregor, pictured below, has been linked to a property formerly owned by Sean Quinn.

In August 2022, it was reported that the former UFC champion had bidded on the JW Sweetman pub on Dublin’s Burgh Quay, but his bid was piped by a family of Longford publicans.
