LOCAL SCRAP metal business FM Metals, located in the Lackaghboy Industrial Estate, Enniskillen, will have been open five years in June 2019.
From a small local scrap yard FM Metals has seen incredible growth to become one of Ireland’s leading and established metal recyclers. The Fermanagh based company buys all types of scrap metal from trade and public customers, including scrap cars, farm scrap, farm machinery, factory clearances, engineering scrap, copper, aluminium, batteries and other valuable metals.
Industry expertise ensures that the best prices are always available to our customers. We sort and process all scrap metal on site and export directly to the steel works in the middle east. Unlike our competitors we don’t just sell our scrap to the next biggest scrap yard.
It used to be that the Fermanagh man would have to go to out of the county to get a fair price for their scrap, but we are proud to have changed that for locals and dealers alike through competitive and fair trading.
Recent and ongoing investment has seen the company grow further, with an extended yard and installation of a new high-volume baler and shearer capable of crushing a family car to the size of a fridge in under a minute and cutting whole tractors into 6-inch pieces in a 3 minutes. We have also taken delivery of a car dismantling machine that allows us to fully break down a scrap car to retrieve all of its valuable components ensuring we can offer our customers the best rates for their cars.
FM Metals offers a collection service, we can supply a lorry and grab or provide a skip service. We also have a “Weigh and Pay” van on the road for non ferrous material, where we will come to your home or place of business, weigh your scrap on site and provide payment on the spot. All of this means that FM Metals really is the only scrap dealer in Fermanagh who can truly service all of your scrap metal needs.
