Boxing Day sees Ballinamallard travel to Dungannon Swifts looking to build on their excellent performance against Glenavon last Saturday.

Manager Whitey Anderson sees it as another chance to put daylight between the Ferney Park side and the Mid Ulster outfit.

“It’s a good opportunity for us to go further ahead of Dungannon and Warrenpoint, but the will be saying the same thing,” he said.

“It’s an important three points for both of us. After Tuesday’s disappointment we were very pleased by the way we responded against Glenavon. The players stood up because they know how important it is go get points.
“The first goal was always going to be vital. We got it and defended it very well,” said Anderson.

Both Dungannon and Ballinamallard have the same goal difference and Anderson knows there isn’t a lot between the sides.

“We believe we can get something at Stangmore. Our changing room was buzzing after the game on Saturday and to get points on Friday is crucial because we have Cliftonville and Crusaders after that,” he added.
