Catholic clergy on the move

PARISHES across the Diocese of Clogher are getting ready for a number of clerical changes. Bishop MacDaid has announced the following appointments for the diocese of Clogher which will take effect from the weekend of September 2nd to the 4th.

Rev Padraig McKenna, formerly a curate at Carrickmacross parish, has been appointed as the new parish priest for Trillick, while Very Rev Canon John McKenna has been allocated as the Pastor Emeritus of Trillick.

 Roslea will have a new parish priest as Enniskillen naitive Rev John Chester, formerly a curate in Monaghan tow,n has been newly appointed.  Roslea curate Rev John Flanagan will move to the position of parish priest at Errigal Truagh, Co Monaghan where former  parish priest Fr Sean Nolan, will move to Donaghmoyne as Pastor Emeritus.
Fr Ian Fee, formerly a curate in Lisnaskea and most recently Enniskillen, will take up the position as  curate at Magh Ene, The Rock, Ballyshannon, with added responsibility of one day retreats on Lough Derg.

Fr Terence Connolly, will take up position as Pastor Emeritus at Eskra and will be replaced by Fr Noel McGahan, as he extends his role to parish priest in Eskra and Clogher. Fr McGahan served for many years in St Michael’s parish, Enniskillen.

Rev Michael Jordan CC Donaghmoyne has been transferred to be curate at Carrickmacross parish, while newly ordained Rev Stephen Duffy and Rev Kevin Malcolmson have been appointed to be curates in Monaghan town.

Fr Stephen Joy, curate of Monaghan, will move to Tydavnet, and will also be chaplain to St Macartan’s College, Beech Hill College and St Louis Secondary School, Monaghan.
Rev Martin O’Reilly, Eskra has been released to work in the Diocese of Trenton, New Jersey, USA while Rev Martin Donnelly of Magh Ene will return to the Archdiocese of Cardiff, Wales.
