GORDONS Chemists has announced a landmark partnership with Duality Healthcare, aimed at bringing enhanced virtual and face-to-face GP services to the community.
The partnership will see Duality launch a virtual GP hub in Gordons Chemists in Enniskillen, as well as in Lisburn, Kilkeel and Rathcoole.
This collaboration marks a significant step forward in improving access to high-quality, flexible healthcare options across the North.
John Kernohan, CEO of Gordons Chemists, said, “Partnering with Duality Healthcare allows us to further expand our commitment to community wellbeing.
“By pairing our pharmacy expertise with Duality’s innovative GP provision, we can deliver a unique, connected and comprehensive healthcare experience that helps to reduce barriers to care, shorten waiting times, and ensure individuals and families receive the support they need, when they need it.”
John McEvoy, CEO of Duality Healthcare, said, “We are delighted to work alongside Gordons to bring our hybrid healthcare model to more patients than ever before.
“This partnership brings private healthcare closer to home, expanding access to GP and specialist services in areas where healthcare access can be limited. It marks a major step in bridging community pharmacy and primary care through innovation and collaboration.”
He added that the partnership is “another important step for Duality Healthcare in our mission to deliver accessible, high-quality, affordable healthcare to communities across Northern Ireland.”
This collaboration, the first of its kind between a pharmacy chain and a private healthcare provider in the North, will see Duality opening virtual GP hubs offering private consultations, with prescriptions available for collection at the Gordons counter.
