THE community of Kinawley is once again inviting people from all over the county to join them in cheering on our Olympic finalists Ross Corrigan and Nathan Timoney.
Roche’s Bar in the village will screen Friday morning’s (10.30am) Men’s Pair final live and they’re hoping there’ll be as big a turnout as last Sunday morning for the heat.
Leanne Doherty, daughter of bar owners Liam and Breda, knows how big an achievement it is for Kinawley man Corrigan and his rowing partner Timoney;
“The support that the two boys are getting is fantastic. Everyone is pulling together, which is great to see. We’ll be cheering them on.”
Corrigan and Timoney will row in lane 6 and contest the medal positions with Great Britain, Romania, Croatia, Switzerland and Spain.
Hats, flags, scarves and headbands are encouraged! Let’s make it a morning to remember!
Good luck Ross and Nathan!
