Thousands descend on 104th Clogher Show

The 104th Clogher Valley Show kicked off in Augher this morning, with thousands expected at the agricultural extravaganza, which celebrates the best in the local farming industry.
This year’s event will host 15 Clogher Valley Championships and 18 Irish Shows Championships, with exhibitors from all over Ireland presenting their livestock in the judging rings.
With some of the North’s leading agricultural exhibitors set to attend the show, a spokesperson said there’ll be fierce competitions for the awards up for grabs.
The show’s nominated charity this year is Augher, Clogher and Eskra First Responders (ACE).
Police have warned of traffic disruption and delays in the area due to the crowds.
“There will be signage in place to assist with parking, and we would ask members of the public to comply with these, in order to avoid delays to their journeys,” said a PSNI spokesman. “Road users may also seek to find an alternative route.
“Officers will be on the ground to accommodate the flow of traffic where required. The event is due to disperse at 6pm. We would like to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable day.”
