Derrygonnelly weapons accused fails to appear in court

A DERRYGONNELLY man facing charges of assault and possessing of a weapon has failed to appear in court.
Barry McPhillips (43) from Mill Green is accused of assaulting a male as well as having a knife in public.
Offending is alleged to have occurred in the Risnarick Road area of Derrygonnelly on June 8.
A police officer aware of the facts of the case told Enniskillen Magistrates Court the charges could be connected.
He also confirmed knowing of no reason why McPhillips was not in attendance after which Deputy District Judge Philip Mateer issued an arrest warrant.
