FOUR year old Ellie Maye is representing her country on the beauty stage.
The Tempo girl has recently been crowned Mini Miss Diamond Ireland.
Her mother Annette Woods explained how Ellie’s pageant journey began.
“I originally got her into it for her confidence, I wanted to do it to empower her, being a young girl growing up in the world we live in today it’s good for her to have even more confidence than normal,” she said
“I saw the first pageant on Facebook and I thought we would enter her for fun and confidence more than anything else.
“It was a charity pageant called Miss Emerald Isle held at the beginning of January and she won it.
“We then decided to enter her into the Diamond Ireland pageant heat in Belfast, we were nervous as we didn’t know how she would get on as she is only four, but she ended up winning it and that certified her place in the Diamond UK and EU final in August,” added Annette.
Ellie is a natural when it comes to showing off her beauty and loves every minute of what she does according to her proud mum.
“She loves it, she loves everything to do with modeling, walking, just being a wee diva,” she said..
“The pageants support a charity called Young Minds, so the girls who enter get to raise money for the charity, Ellie is going for this new pageant where she is hoping to raise £500 for Young Minds.”
