Fermanagh gets set to switch on for Christmas

HALLOWEEN is long over, the frosty mornings are well and truly upon us, and December is just around the corner. Up and down Fermanagh towns and villages are preparing for the ‘big switch on’, and many may be sitting at home wondering – is it too early to put up our tree yet?
The seasonal festivities get under way in Enniskillen tomorrow evening, when the town’s lights will be switched following an evening of music and entertainment. Kicking off at lunchtime, when school choirs will be taking to the stage at the Diamond at 1pm, the music will continue throughout the day until Santa arrives by train around 5.25pm, just in time for the big countdown at around 5.30p. After the switch on The Knights will keep the entertainment going with a festive singalong.
The switching on of the public Christmas lights is often a ‘green light’ for many to get going on their home decorating, while some of the more eager festive fans may already have the tinsel out and tree up. Have you decorated you house yet? Send us your photos!
