UUP top the poll in Erne West as two eliminated

THE UUP have come out top again, this time in Erne West where sitting councillor Alex Baird has been re-elected.
Cllr Baird received 1,333 votes at the first stage, setting the quota for the area. Sinn Fein’s Cllr Anthony Feely, on 1,208 votes, and Chris McCaffrey, on 1,136, are polling well, while independent Cllr Bernice Swift is also with 1,159.
Meanwhile, Diane Little, for the Alliance, has been eliminated in Erne North, while Jerry McHugh, for Aontu, has been eliminated in Erne East. The Democrats and Veterans Party’s Lewis Jennings, in Erne North, had been eliminated earlier.
