Vótáil Sinn Féin, your strongest voice

Content Sponsored by: Sinn Féin

ON Thursday May 2, I am asking you to come out and vote for your local Sinn Féin candidate in the Fermanagh Omagh Council Elections. Sinn Féin has led the charge on Brexit from before the referendum was even called. In November 2015, I was in London meeting with the British Government.

We challenged their Brexit agenda, then, as threatening our peace process, diminishing rights and leading to a hardening of the British border in Ireland.  From then, Sinn Féin has endeavoured to ensure Ireland’s concerns are heard at every level. Sinn Féin have campaigned for the North to remain in the EU, and following an overwhelming endorsement of that position, our four strong MEP team led the charge in Europe for our vote to be respected.  We were instrumental in advancing  Sinn Féin’s proposal for the North to achieve special designated status and remain within the EU. Our diplomatic offensive has been hugely successful as most of our demands have become EU policy.

It was the Sinn Féin team in Europe that secured the EU’s commitment to; upholding the Good Friday Agreement in all its parts, no diminution of rights, continued access to funding and no hardening of the border dividing Ireland.  Sinn Féin has also constantly raised the best solution to this Brexit crisis.  There is no good Brexit for Ireland. We should be able to decide what ‘union’ we want to be a part of.  A referendum on Irish unity is coming, we all must be ready to play our part.  On Thursday, May 2, vótáil Sinn Féin.  Martina Anderson MEP
