Wedding bells with a difference for Kinawley couple

It was a special day in Kinawley on Saturday.
The Mock Weddng, organised to raise funds for the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust and Kinawley Community Centre had a packed house.
The community night proved a real hit with people from Kinawley, Bellanaleck, Arney, Derrylin, Teemore and Swanlinbar.
Well over 100 ‘guests’ filled the community centre to welcome and congratulate the newly weds, bride Agnes and groom, Barney, (Eileen McGovern and Gerald McManus)
Organised by the Kinawley Community Association the evening consisted of the wedding ceremony, the reception and a night of music and dancing.
Roisin Smyth, facility co-ordinator explained, “It really brought the whole community together. It was a night of fun, laughter and singing and full of community spirit.
“The volunteers provided the meal and there was great support from the people who dressed up brilliantly. It was a really good community night for all ages. If you ever wanted to bring the community together for something, the Mock Wedding certainly did it.”
The money raised from the biggest and most eleborate weddings ever seen in Kinawley will go to the new Community Hall extension and the Kevin Ball Repatriation Trust.
