Anti-social activity in ‘close-knit’ village

‘SERIOUS incidents’ of anti-social behaviour in the Trillick area have been raised with the PSNI.
Local Sinn Fein Councillor Stephen McCann and Catherine Kelly MLA met with senior PSNI officers in Omagh recently to discuss what they describe as “a number of anti-social incidents of a serious nature” in Trillick in recent weeks.
Speaking after the meeting, Cllr McCann said: “Over recent weeks there has been a number of anti-social incidents of quite a serious nature in Trillick and we requested this meeting with the PSNI to press the view within the local community that the PSNI’s response to what has happened has been totally inadequate.
“We held a constructive discussion in relation to the issues of concern involved and welcome the commitment given by the senior PSNI officers in attendance that these concerns would now be addressed.
“Trillick is a very quiet and close-knit community and the incidents that have happened over recent weeks are thankfully few and far between and the community need the PSNI to play their role in ensuring it stays this way.”
