In a list of Ireland’s 32 counties, Fermanagh was placed a disappointing 29th, just ahead of Wicklow, Louth and last placed Longford.
“The Definitive County Craic List” was compiled by Lovin.ie, and Kerry topped the poll as the top county for general banter.
Fermanagh’s neighbouring counties, Monaghan placed at 25th, while Cavan came in at number 20, with Tyrone coming in at a respectable 17th.
In the list, Fermanagh was described as ‘very scenic but faces tough competition from the likes of Donegal,’ – so it was no surprise that Donegal made it to fourth place.
Terry McCartney, Belmore Court and Hotel owner, has a vast experience of the craic that Fermanagh has to offer, and is extremely shocked and disappointed at the result.
“I cannot believe that Fermanagh came 29th in this list, I am disgusted. There is no better craic than what there is in Fermanagh. Fermanagh was once voted the happiest place in the UK and we only make it to 29th in this list, there is something not right about it.”
