A POPULAR chef at the Manor House Hotel and his wife are desperately hoping to raise money for life-saving medical treatment for their two-year-old daughter who is suffering from a rare form of cancer.

The little girl, Nadezda Laporionok,  was born with Cleft palate, problems with swallowing, a hernia and a rare genetic disorder, Beckwith-Wiedeman syndrome, but within the past month, the family received the devastating news that their daughter has a rare form of cancer called Rhadbomoysarcoma .

In order for her to have a chance at life, the family are desperately trying to raise money in order to take their daughter to Israel, to a specialised clinic.

The disease is more common in Israel and the treatment will hopefully save her young life.

Nadezda is currently being treated in Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, and has undergone chemotherapy treatment.

Rhadbomoysarcoma is a cancer of the soft tissue and is an extremely rare type of cancer with less than 60 children being diagnosed in the UK each year.

“It all happened within the past month as she was diagnosed but the hospital is inexperienced in dealing with this type of cancer. We need to raise £50,000 for the deposit for treatment in Israel, in the hope that they can save our  daughter.

So far we have raised around about £7,000 and we are very grateful to everyone who has donated to our case,” said father Aleksandr Laporionok.

Nadezda’s father, Aleksandr Laporionok, is originally from Lithuania but now lives in Enniskillen and works as a chef in the Manor House Hotel, Killadeas.

Aleksandr met his wife, Olesia Laporionok in 2010 when they both worked in the hotel. The couple have since married and now have two young daughters.

The family have set up a Go Fund Me page and a Paypal account to help raise money for the treatment the young girl needs. The deposit for the treatment is £50,000, with additional costs once the initial funding is used.

“I had no idea that people would be so good, and we are very grateful for all the help that has been given to my family. It is a very hard time for us as a family, but we have to believe that she will survive and we will stay strong for our daughter.

We cannot give up, and hopefully we can raise the money which will give Nadezda the chance to live and. We cannot think that she will not make it through, we have to be strong for our princess.”
