Enniskillen’s newly refurbished museum and visitor centre reopens to the public today after a £3.5 million refurbishment programme.
The investment has transformed the complex into the heritage gateway for the area with new galleries and exhibitions, Visitor Centre, children’s activities, ‘behind the scenes’ rooms and redeveloped grounds.
Fermanagh Visitor Information Centre has also been relocated to the new state of the art Visitor Centre at Enniskillen Castle.
Speaking about the relocation of the Visitor Information Centre, Charlotte Wilson, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council Visitor Services Manager, said:
“We’re very excited to be moving to the new purpose built Visitor Centre at Enniskillen Castle which is just 400 metres away from our current premises. The Visitor Information Centre staff have gained a reputation for always going the extra mile to assist visitors with their travels and we look forward to continuing to offer this service in such an iconic setting that is Enniskillen Castle.”
