Man fined for indecent behaviour

A 21-year-old Enniskillen man who was caught urniating against a wall in Enniskillen has been fined £150. Joseph Kavanagh, of Corporation Street in Enniskillen was charged with indecent behaviour when the case was heard at Enniskillen Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

The court was told that police were on public order duty at The Diamond, Enniskillen on May 1st this year when they observed Kavanagh committing the offence.

When cautioned about the incident, Kavanagh replied “ok” but as police attempted to issue him with a fixed penalty notice, he replied: “No wonder nobody likes the PSNI. You saw a vulnerable person and thought you would issue him with a ticket. You can shove your f***ing ticket up your derrière.”

Defence solicitor Emer Cox said her client was not present at the hearing due to work commitments.

District Judge Nigel Broderick said he would triple the fixed penalty notice that Kavanagh had refused to pay beacuse of his attitude and issued him with a £150 fine.
