The race is on.
Enniskillen Running Club members performed exceptionally well at the annual Knocks 6km and 10km road race.
The challenging course was not enough to deter the hardy runners as they braved the elements during this race.
In the 6km race, Richard Mason set a blistering pace and was the first runner and ERC runner home in a time of 23.35. John McDonnell was next ERC member home and 4th overall runner in this race.
He was followed by Karen Dolan, who was first female home and also 6th runner overall. Aaron Higgins was the next ERC runner home in 9th place overall. Catraoine McDonnell continues to impress as she took 2nd lady home on the day and 12th overall runner.
In the 10km route Dave Slater was the first ERC runner home running an impressive race to take 3rd overall placing in a time of 37.43. Following closely was James Johnstone (5th), Michael Walsh (7th), Malcom Browne (9th), Albert Little (14th), new member Tony Gallagher was next home (18th).
Next ERC runner over the line was Sandra Wilson whose performance earned her a podium placing of 3rd female. She was followed by Oonagh Fitzpatrick (4th female), Roisin McDonnell (5th female), Denise McElroy (6th female) , Margaret Carron (10th female).
Dessie Elton was next ERC runner over the line taking (35th placing) followed by Annette Hughes (13th female).
The next ERC runner home was Luke Cox (38th male), Bernie Hall (19th female), Caroline McCaffrey (21st lady), Kathleen Murphy (35th lady).
