BREAKING: Man dies following Enniskillen house fire

A man has died following a house fire in the Cornagrade area of Enniskillen this morning (Thursday).

He has been named locally as John Brazil.

A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service spokesman said:

“Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) received a call at 8:26am to a report of a fire at residential premises at the Drumgay Close area of Enniskillen this morning (Thursday 3rd December).

 “Fire Appliances from Enniskillen Fire Station, one Fire Appliance from Irvinestown Fire Station and one Fire Appliance from Lisnaskea Fire Station were deployed to the scene. Firefighters dealt with a fire in a bedroom of the house using breathing apparatus and thermal imaging cameras. Tragically, one man was found deceased in the property.

 “Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service remain at the scene. There are no further details at this stage.”

A police spokesman confirmed  that a man has died following a fire at a house in the Drumgay Close area of Enniskillen this morning, Thursday 03 December. 

Police received a report of a fire at a house at around 8.30am this morning. Police and other Emergency Services attended but unfortunately the man was found deceased at the scene.
