QUINN Building Products have taken delivery of three new Quinn lorries in phase one of a major four-year capital investment programme to replenish the 140-strong Quinn haulage fleet at Gortmullan, Derrylin.

This first delivery is part of an initial 12 units. It will include new ‘rooftile grab’ lorries as well as articulated tractor units and new cement tankers due to arrive before the end of this year.
Gearoid Gilheany, the transport manager with Quinn Building Products, welcomed the new arrivals.  “The new lorries are just the start of an ongoing investment programme to replenish the full fleet over the next three to four years.

“This will include more tractor units, block lorries, prestressed concrete lorries, rigid curtain side trucks for the Quinn Therm insulation business as well as a number of 8-wheeler tippers.
“The whole team here are obviously delighted with the progress of the business over the past 9 months and, also, with the renewed confidence in the sustainability of the business that has enabled this investment.”
