St Mary’s High School, Brollagh, celebrates it’s 50th anniversary

TODAY, (Monday) St Mary’s High School, Brollagh officially celebrates 50 years.

Today is the official anniversary milestone day and a group photo will be taken at the school.

As part of the celebrations on Thursday, September 10 a ticket launch was held at the school  ahead of a special gala ball, which takes place on November 14 in the Great Northern Hotel in Bundoran. A great night of entertainment was enjoyed at the ticket launch and organisers were delighted to welcome the much acclaimed Paul Kelly who sang on the evening. Those in attendance also enjoyed a number of songs from the very talented school choir.

On the evening of October 12 a fun music night  will be held at the school where the very many talented past pupil singers and musicians will perform.

Paul Kelly and his band will perform on the Gala night which takes place on the 14th of November in The Great Northern Hotel in Bundoran.

Tickets are available at £35 from St Mary’s High School, The Great Northern Hotel and through the parents council. While the event will be formal it is not black tie. The Parents Council is delighted to have Scottish Power Renewables as the main sponsor for the Gala Ball

It has been a successful year at the school so far with a strong intake of 21 pupils, exceptional GCSE results and the appointment of a new principal in the form of Derry man Michael Quigley.
