IT WAS A DAY to remember yesterday for young Eloise Singleton as she attended her first day of school at St Paul’s Primary School, Irvinestown, alongside her brother Michael.

Just last May the five-year-old was diagnosed with bone cancer and as a show of solidarity her brother shaved his head to support Eloise.

Mother Claire explained: “Michael shaved his head because he didn’t want Eloise to feel left out. Her hair is just started to grow and now they have very similar hair styles.

“He has waited a long time to have his little sister at school with him and he was full of excitement this morning too.”
