FERMANAGH MAN Winston Phair drew admiring glances as he took his pristine BMW Isetta 300 for a spin through Enniskillen.
The Isetta is an Italian-designed microcar and caused a sensation when it was launched in 1953 as the unusual egg shape design was unlike anything seen at the time – The entire front end of the car hinges outwards to allow entry and the vehicle is very compact at only 2.29 metres long by 1.37 metres wide.
Car owner Winston stated that the car just passed it’s MOT and by the looks of the Isetta nipping through the centre of Enniskillen, he has many more happy years of motoring in the iconic motor to come!
