He explained more: “They kicked in the door, came upstairs where there were keys to three vehicles, but only the one was parked outside. The other two sets of keys were taken from the wee rack, but these vehicles weren’t outside at that time. So they obviously pressed the button for one outside  and jumped in it.”

The vehicle was found by police yesterday morning burnt out at the junction between Killyvilly and the Tempo Road in Enniskillen.

A police spokesman confirmed a Toyota Avensis was stolen from the street and the car was found abandoned at the junction of Tempo Road and Killyvilly Road around 5.45am yesterday morning (Tuesday). A fire had been started on the back seat of the car causing damage to the interior.

Inspector Roy Robinson is appealing to anyone who witnessed the burglary or anyone who saw the Toyota Avensis taxi in the area of Queen Street or Tempo Road early Tuesday morning to contact police in Enniskillen.

Mr Robinson told the Herald an individual was seen in the area shortly before the fire and police would like to speak to him in connection to the incident.
