OVER 100 cows have been stolen from a farm on Wednesday night, police have revealed.
Police in Fermanagh have appealed for information as they assist colleagues in the Garda Siochanna regarding the whereabouts of cattle and sheep that were stolen from a farm in the midlands of Ireland between 9pm on Wednesday, 24 June and 1.15pm on Thursday, 25 June.
The animals stolen include:
40 MIXED BREED BULLOCKS,
12 BLACK/WHITE HEADS,
15 CHAROLAIS CROSS BULLOCKS,
13 LIMOUSIN CROSS BULLOCKS,
2 BLACK/WHITE HEAD COWS,
2 LARGE RED COWS
2 BLACK COWS,
1 SIMMENTAL COW,
1 CHAROLAIS COW,
9 LIMOUSIN CROSS CALVES,
1 BELGIAN BLUE COW
2 FRESIAN HEIFERS
1 CHAROLAIS HEIFER
25 MOUNTAIN EWES
Inspector Roy Robinson said: “This is a substantial theft and would have involved a number of individuals and vehicles. I appeal to anyone who knows of the whereabouts of the above animals, have observed any suspicious activity involving lorries or cattle trailers to contact police in Enniskillen on the non-emergency number 101 or alternatively contact crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
