IT WAS a day to remember – or forget – for Ballinamallard footballer Leon Carters.
Engaged to be married Leon, who’s also a coach with the Fermanagh senior GAA team, was plucked from work at the Lakeland Forum today (Monday) and driven around Enniskillen in a trailer for the traditional pre-wedding doin’.
As the video below shows, it didn’t end there: the Coa man was doused in a mix of we-don’t-know-what.
But, it’s all in good fun for Leon who’s engaged to be married to Carina Ledwith, Enniskillen, this Friday (June 24) – who seems to have escaped this particular occasion.
Claire Keenan, who’s engaged to Leon’s brother Julian told the Fermanagh Herald: “Leon finished work at 6.15 so we nabbed him and tied him to the trailer after a bit of a struggle!
“Carina was in the support vehicles and she handed him a towel at the end!”
