Eoin Donnelly is expected to return to the Fermanagh starting 15 for the clash with Monaghan in the Ulster semi-final.
The Coa star sustained a hand injury in a club game and has been out of action since. His addition will be a major boost to Pete McGrath’s side, giving Fermanagh much needed heft around the central sector.
“Eoin Donnelly is in the frame for selection thankfully,” said McGrath.
“Ryan McCluskey, who came off injured in the Antrim game, has trained with and he will be fine. Indeed a few hours after the Antrim match the medical people looked at him and said, ‘He’ll be OK for three weeks time no problem.’”
Of slightly more concern is Ruairí Corrigan. The Kinawley rocket had to come off against the Saffrons with a recurrence of his hamstring problem.
“Ruairí Corrigan is back doing light training,” said McGrath. “He’s getting different kinds of treatment to try and speed up the recovery of the hamstring strain he has. Ruairí’s a bit of a doubt, there’s no question about that, but we’re still hopeful that he’ll play in the match.
“We just going to monitor that, but there’s no doubt in my mind Ruairí will play some part in the game. Whether he starts the game or comes on in the game we’ll decided on that, but he’ll certainly play some role.”
