A CLEAR message sent out by over one million people in the South to legalise same-sex marriage has led to calls for the North to follow suit.
Northern Ireland stands alone in the British Isles as the only country where gay marriage is not legal. Most of Western Europe has also adopted the measure.
Last month the Assembly rejected the fourth attempt to introduce same-sex marriage after 51 MLAs voted against the Sinn Fein motion.
