POLICE have appealed for information from the public as they continue a major search for a missing 23-year-old who is believed to have entered the Lough Erne.
The search is now in its third day and involves Police, the Coast Guard, and Fire Brigade, and is concentrated around the area of the Round O since 5.30am on Wednesday.
The search was sparked after Kieran McAree from Monaghan was reported missing.
Kieran is described as 5’7” tall, with short curly brown hair, and wore glasses. He may have been driving a Volkswagen Golf car prior to going missing.
Chief Inspector Brian Foster said, “Significant water-based and land-based searches are continuing today, and Police have appealed for anyone who can help with their enquiries to contact them on the 101 number. We are also appealing for anyone in the vicinity to check outbuildings and land.”
