The victorious Country Club squad at the NITOWA 600kg Championships
The Country Club Tug Of War Team attended the second Northern Ireland Tug Of War Association Championship on Saturday 6th December in Lurgan and followed up on the previous 680kg success by winning by the 600kg Championship.
This is an extremely important weight class and all teams fought hard to win.
The victory means the Country Club will now have the honour of going forward and representing Northern Ireland at the United Kingdom Championships which will take place at Scotland in February 2015.
The final standings were Country Club first, Ballyhegan second and Richhill third.
Team members, Vernon Hurst and Gareth Ellis, were delight by the result and extremely proud that they have the opportunity to represent their country.
The Country Club will be hosting the Northern Ireland 560kg Championship at Fivemiletown on Saturday 13th December with pulling starting at 5pm sharp.
