Man arrested in relation to ‘dissident republican activity’

A MAN has been arrested in relation to ‘dissident republican activity’ in Belfast following the arrest of a 43-year-old man in Kinawley, yesterday, Wednesday.

A statement from the PSNI read:

“Detectives from Serious Crime Branch have arrested a 35 year old man in North Belfast as part of an investigation into dissident republican activity.

“This follows the arrest of a 43 year old man in Kinawley yesterday.

“Detective Chief Inspector Gillian Kearney said: “Both men have been taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Antrim Police Station for questioning and a search operation continues in the Kinawley area this morning.””
