Niamh and Oisin take charge
Niamh McAloon and Oisin O’Loughlin from Belcoo had the honour of refereeing the Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Go Games Exhibition match in Croke Park. The game took place at half time in the all-Ireland football semi-final between Dublin and Donegal which attracted a sell-out crowd of 82,000. It was a wonderful experience for both children who completed their Young Whistler courses in school last term.
Ruairi relishes the experience
Young St Patrick’s Donagh player Ruairi Bannon became one of the privileged few to play on the hallowed sod at Croke Park when he lined out for Donegal for the INTO/RESPECT Exhibition GoGames during the All-Ireland semi-final between Donegal and Dublin. Ruairi was representing St Mary’s Primary School, Maguiresbridge in front of a full house at Headquarters. Among those in the crowd were proud parents Mark and Teresa Bannon. Ruairi has just started secondary school in St Comhghall’s, Lisnaskea.
