Champions Cliftonville visit Ferney Park on Saturday and Ballinamallard United aim to be ready for them.

Manager Whitey Anderson knows they are an exceptional side and the addidion of new boy McDaid will only add to their talents.

“Not only can they play well, but they work hard for each other, but we know what exactly is ahead of us,” said Anderson.

He has been happy with the start of the season, but needs to improve the side’s consistency over 90 minutes. We’ve had really good spells, but have dropped off a bit too often.

I know that will come and we will be tested on Saturday. We must get the consitency in our play over the 90 minutes,” he said.

“Stops and starts will not help us against the champions. We will have to be there for 90 minutes,” he added.

“We’re scoring goals and making chances and that is a big improvement, but what concerns me is that we are conceding goals from set plays. Six out of the seven we have conceded this season have been from set plays. We have to address that and quickly.”

He’s optimistic about Saturday. I and the players believe that we can beat any side in this league on our day. I know they are the champions, but we can match anyone, but we have to be lively from the first minute through to the 90th and if we do that then I think we can get a result.”

“Hopefully we can get the home crowd behind us on Saturday and push on from there,” added Anderson
