Lisa McHugh returns to the Valley

Lisa McHugh

THE LATEST STAR in country music Lisa McHugh is determined to make country cool as she builds a huge fan base with live performances, TV appearances and recordings.

As she prepares to visit the Valley Hotel, Fivemiletown on Saturday 24th May she commented “The numbers of young people coming to our theatre performances, festival appearances and dances has increased dramatically. It’s wonderful to see people our own age relating to our songs”

Having launched her band a little over two years ago she already has released two albums and ten singles. Her latest single entitled ‘Hey, I’m A Woman’ is her first self penned release co-written with her great friend and No 1 songwriter Don Mescall. She’s also had a ‘YouTube hit’ with a single entitled ‘Why’d Ya Come In Here’ that netted over 170,000 ‘hits’.

Lisa has appeared on the prestigious Grand Ole Opry as guest of her friend in Nashville Gene Watson. She commented “I’ve always been a fan of Dolly Parton, Martina McBride and the Dixie Chicks so it was a dream come through to sing my songs on the same stage that these people have made home”.

Described as “an Idol” and Inspiration” by many of her adoring fans, Lisa doesn’t necessarily see herself any different to any other normal girl, “Yes I work incredibly hard, I always look forward to putting on my best performance and meeting with my fans and friends when my show finishes, this way I get to sign autographs, have a chat and have some nice pics taken”.

No doubt Lisa is looking forward to meeting you on Saturday 24th May at The Valley Hotel, Fivemiletown.
