THE 2014 baby boom has begun as four new arrivals were welcomed into the world at Enniskillen’s South West Acute Hospital on New Year’s Day.
The first baby born in the whole of the North was born at the Enniskillen hospital.
Niamh Howell wasted no time and was born at 28 minutes past midnight.
She weighed 7lb 3oz and her proud parents are Seamus and Cathy Howell and come from Lisnaskea.
There were three more babies born at the South West Acute Hospital on New Year’s Day.
Baby girl Sarah was born at 1.15am and weighed 7lb 13oz to parents Catherine Gallagher and Aaron McEnhill from Omagh; baby boy Reuben was born at 4.10am and weighed 7lb 11oz to mum Victoria Keys from Lisbellaw, while baby boy Ryan was born at 11.10am and weighed 5lb 7oz to mum Louise Quinn from Omagh.
