A SHOP in Fivemiletown was the target of an armed robbery this morning (Thursday December 26).
The man entered the shop armed with a knife and it is believed that he left with a sum of money and other items.
The PSNI confirmed that a 24-year-old man was arrested following a robbery at a shop in Main Street.
The incident was reported shortly before 11am.
At this stage, police also believe the man was involved in a robbery of business premises at the Augher Road, Clogher at around 10:40am this morning. It is believed the man threatened a member of staff with a a knife and made off with quantity of cigarettes in a white van following the incident.
The vehicle involved in both incidents is believed to have been stolen from a house in the west-Belfast area. The male is currently helping police with their enquiries.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incidents or anyone with any information about the incident to contact CID in Dungannon Police Station on 0845 600 8000.
