Funny man.. Tim McGarry

Get ready for the biggest comedy night yet in Blakes on Saturday 21st March. The room is growing very popular on the comedy circuit and a must stop for the best acts available. This time Blakes have another fantastic line-up that will have the audience in stitches. Along with the forever funny man man Neil Dougan they have Micky Bartlett. Both acts will set the scene nicely for the headline act Tim McGarry. Tickets are on sale now.
Blakes manager Mark Edwards is delighted at the line-up.
“It’s a great coup for us to get someone like Tim on stage here,” he said. “We’ve been building up our list of top class comedians to appear at Blakes and this is just the next step to ensure a top class night fun and laughter.”
McGarry is one of the most highly sought after comperes and after dinner speakers working in Northern Ireland today. He is former lawyer, an experienced actor, writer, stand-up comedian and broadcaster who has worked extensively on television, radio and stage.
He has wide experience as a stand up, solo performer, presenter and after dinner speaker. His one man stand-up show “Tim McGarry’s Irish History Lesson” got a five star review in the Belfast Telegraph and toured the entire province to standing ovations.
Tim has also performed a huge number of different roles (both male and female!) in the BBC Northern Ireland television sketch show ‘Dry Your Eyes’.
He was the host on the Radio Ulster and BBC1 NI television comedy panel show, ‘The Blame Game’.
Tim writes and performs the weekly topical “taxi-driver” piece for BBCNI’s popular current affairs TV show ‘Hearts and Minds’.
Northern Ireland’s answer to Kevin Bridges, Micky Bartlett is loved for his TV appearances on 2 series of BBC NI’s Monumental and widely hailed as one of the funniest and fastest rising stars on the live stand-up circuit.
