Nominations open for Fermanagh Council Sports Awards

Nominations are now open for the Fermanagh Sports Awards.

Nominations are now open for the 2014 Fermanagh Sports Awards, organised by Fermanagh Sports Advisory Committee, in partnership with Fermanagh District Council.

Now in their 26th year, the Fermanagh Sports Awards recognise local sports men and women, individuals and teams, for outstanding sporting performance.

The Fermanagh Sports Advisory Committee is requesting nominations for Senior Sports Personality of The Year, Junior Sports Personality of The Year, Juvenile Sports Personality of The Year, Senior Sports Team of The Year, Junior Sports Team of The Year, Service to Sport, and Coach of The Year awards.

Speaking about the Awards, Christine McCann, Chairman of Fermanagh Sports Advisory Committee said, “The Fermanagh Sports Advisory Committee Sports Awards event is a special annual event which celebrates the success of our local athletes and teams.

“We expect the task of compiling the shortlist of nominees for the 2014 Awards to be challenging as 2014 has been such a successful year for Fermanagh teams and athletes.”

Members of the public can make a nomination to any of the award categories.

The Fermanagh Sports Advisory Committee will then draw up a shortlist of nominations with the winners being announced at the annual Sports Awards and Gala Banquet at the Killyhevlin Hotel, Enniskillen on Friday 20 February 2015. Closing date for nominations is Friday 9 January 2015.
