Fivemiletown film gets John Lewis stamp of approval

Retailer John Lewis has congratulated a County Tyrone secondary school, who created their own film inspired by the John Lewis ad.

Fivemiletown College unveiled its film on the importance of community saying it aimed to give John Lewis, which is renowned for its Christmas ads, a run for its money.

Working alongside Philip Anderson Films, colleagues Andrea McNeary and Izzy Galloway brought the project to life with the support of pupils and staff.

Now John Lewis – which this year launched an emotive film, Where Love Lives, supported by the iconic 90s soundtrack from Alison Limerick – has given its stamp of approval to the film.

Rosie Hanley, John Lewis’s brand director, who was brought up in County Antrim, said: “We’re so impressed with the feeling of community which is behind the film. We now know that Love Lives at Fivemiletown College.”

John Lewis posted on the school’s Facebook page “Great to see that love lives at Fivemiletown College. Congrats on your brilliant film.”
